How do you like them?
Mashed is my mostest favoritest...Boston Market, Popeyes, and Cracker Barrel is yummiest! I generally perfer them without gravy.
Shepherd's Pie is mighty good....but not when I make it cheaply.
Baked with lotsa cheese and broccali is up there.
I do not like new potatos...I do not like them Sam I Am.
Hash Browns are OK.
Potato chips are very necessary...cheddar and sour cream being supreme, cheetos divine.

Re: Potatos
Sat, August 25, 2007 - 11:14 PMI went to my aunts tonight for a friendly dinner, she made these great mashed potatoes with cheese, I have a strange suspicion they were from a box... had some "issues" a little later -

Thu, September 6, 2007 - 8:40 AMFunny thing about potatoes, I can take them or leave them, generally. Although, whenever I make a meatloaf, it's not complete unless I also throw some red skinned ones into the pan and roast them. With a garlic dill sauce, yummy.
But when I was pregnant with my daughter, I couldn't get enough of them. It didn't matter how they were cooked (as long as they were cooked, I refuse to eat them raw, but I know people who do), if it was a potato I ate it. -

Re: Potatos
Sun, September 9, 2007 - 8:47 AMI've had two excellent potato dishes lately. The first was at a vegetarian restaurant in Asheville, NC called Rosetta's. The dish was "smashed potatoes" and was quite tasty. Think mashed potatoes, but just before they turn all gooey, so there are still some little chunky bits in there, and then add lots of butter, black pepper and chives. The second was at a tapas restaurant in New Orleans called Fiesta Bistro. The dish was patatas bravas--potatos seasoned with a spicy tomato sauce, topped with green onions and a garlic hollandaise. Oh my they were good. -
